Free event this Saturday: Practical regenerative landscape interventions post fire
Dear community,
A new opportunity to put the energy of the momentum after the fire into restoring the landscape before the rain season kicks in! Many hands and inspired minds can make a difference to create inspiration and regeneration out of the ashes.
We invite you again to join us on Saturday 18th of October from 9-13 in Vale de Bordeira. Restore Nature Collective (Manuel, Jeroen and myself) are organizing a free practical workshop where we aim to show practical interventions that can be done for the landscape- the fundament of our existence. In this intervention we aim to show and put into practice:
* Landscape reading of the ecosystem and terrain
* Defining priorities after fire for resilient landscape and home
* 2 Practical small interventions to catch water and nutrients in the land to:
- prevent erosion
- create fertile hotspots
- prepare for reestablishing vegetation
- preventing further degradation of the land
When: Saturday 18th of October 9:00-13:00
Where: Vale de Bordeira, location will be shared (ask me)
Free, unless you want to make a donation for one of the affected areas
What: Bring clothes that don’t mind ash stains, tools as chainsaw, hand saw, lopper, enchada.
